Jackson's plans
Tennakee came into heat unexpectedly in February at a time when Jackson wasn't able to make the trip north from SanFrancisco.  Please email for more information on Jackson litters.

With this breeding we will bring together the health, chest, and conformation of ThunderPaws and WoodsRunner lines with the size and temperament of the Mountain Laurel and Perry Greene Chinooks.  These pups should have many breeding options open to them.

Jackson and Tali produced seven puppies on June 25, 2005.  Tennakee is Tali's sister, and we hope for the same exceptional health we saw in the Tali/Jack litter.  Three of the seven puppies have had passing OFA exams (4 haven't been x-rayed yet) and all puppies were CERF Normal.  For more information please email chinookdog@comcast.net

What's so special about this litter?  We have seen exceptional health in Jackson and Tali's litters not to mention parents, granparents, etc.  The possibilities we may see are Crptorchidism/Monorchidism (one testicle descends and the pup will be neutered), retinal or puppy folds,  and black and tan coats.  We consider hip dysplasia, allergies, and seizures to be very low risk, but do run in the Chinook population.

All of Jackson's puppies from other litters have had passing hips, two males were monorchid, and all puppies CERFed have been "Normal" with no folds.  Retinal folds do not affect eyesight and dogs need to be checked as puppies to find them.  If a dog is CERFed for the first exam at two years they may go unnoticed by the Opthamologist.  Because we are researching this topic and interested in health issues, all puppies raised in our home will have CERF exams before eight weeks.

Please ask questions if you have them :-)

Jade has produced three litters with exceptional health.  Amanda Bays was kind enough to give us a shot at our dream litter.  Jade was bred using frozen semen and surgical insemination.  The breeding produced Channahon's Kila and Kopa born in June 2007.  We are thrilled to have Kopa in our home!
